Moderated by veteran KTTV FOX 11 TV reporter John Schwada and featuring special guests Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and USC Annenberg School of Journalism Director, Geneva Overholser

Los Angeles, CA – SPJ-LA holds regular events and mixers for its members and supporters on interesting topics and pressing issues of the day. Join them later this month for a panel of civic leaders to explore the real possibility that the country’s second-largest city will be left without a daily newspaper.

WHERE: The Metropolitan Water District, 700 N. Alameda St., Los Angeles, CA

WHY: Budget cuts, massive layoffs and looming bankruptcy in tough economic times could lead to the disappearance of our local newspapers.
